#68 • MAVERICK

Part of Ocala Horse Sale - Saturday, November 8th - Ocala, Florida (live auction by Horse Auctions USA)

Location: Ocala, FL

Status: Sold

Maverick is a stunning and stout 11yo gelding standing about 15.3h and weighing close to 1400lbs. We’ve owned Mav for almost two years and didn’t make the decision to sell him lightly. He’s fancy and rides how a broke horse should. He pivots, sidepasses, works a gate, rides in the bridle and has a true neck rein. We’ve ponied colts on him, sorted and doctored calves on him, trail rode many miles, and have even thrown some English tack on him. He is also lightly started on the head side though we’ve pasture roped on him quite a bit. He’ll hack bareback around the farm alone, is good with dogs, and other livestock, and falls in the middle of his turnout herd. He is good for the farrier, loads and hauls quietly, and is easy to catch. Stands tied quietly, is quiet in a stall, and generally has great ground manners. He acts like somebody’s personal horse because he’s been our personal horse.
