#53 • Stormy

Part of Colfax Iowa Horse Sale - SUNDAY, JUNE 15TH (live auction by Horse Auctions USA)

Location: Colfax, IA

Status: Sold

Stormy 14-month Stallion. Born April 29, 2024. Stormy has had some handling. He is not halter broke but will come when you call and follow when asked. Can lift all 4 hooves and pick them out. He hasn't needed the farrier as they shed off nicely. You can brush him, roll tubs on him, and drag tarps, and he does not care. He has been around farm equipment, other horses, cows, dogs, and trucks. Doesn't spook at all. He does act like a stallion and nips sometimes. I'm not sure about his sire. Did talk to the man who brought his Mom to sale. He said they came from the New Mexico range round up. I bought the mother from online bidding, not knowing she was pregnant. He is really fast and a little high-spirited. Would make a great barrel racing horse. He is going to make someone a really nice horse. I hate to sell him, but I just don't have the time for him right now, and my husband says he needs to go.
